Cheltenham 12:40 – One to Keep on Side
We head to Cheltenham for the 12:40, and there’s one in here that I’m very keen on at a fair price.
One Horse Town already has course form in the book, finishing a solid third here last month, and that experience around Cheltenham is always a big positive – especially for a horse still learning the job.
That run suggested there’s plenty more to come, and it’s no surprise to hear that this race has been on the radar since. The way he travelled for much of that contest hinted that he’s got the ability to be competitive in better races down the line.
From what I’m hearing, this is a horse the yard think very highly of, and there’s already talk of him being aimed at the Triumph Hurdle later in the season.
If that’s the case, then you’d expect a strong showing here, and this looks like a nice stepping stone to build confidence before bigger targets.
At around 6/1, it feels like a fair price rather than a gift – but in a race like this, with proven course form and clear potential, it’s more than acceptable.
THE VERDICT
This looks a solid each way contender with strong Cheltenham form already in the book and bigger targets ahead.
One Horse Town (6/1)
Still improving, clearly well regarded, and should go very close if progressing from that last run.
