Wolverhampton 5:30 – A Big Price Worth Taking

We head to Wolverhampton tomorrow for the 5:30, and there’s one here that I think has been slightly overlooked in the market.

Always Fearless isn’t the most obvious selection at first glance, but dig a little deeper and there’s a solid bit of form that suggests this price could be way off.

Last time out at Kempton, this one ran a very respectable third in a race that has already started to work out nicely. The winner that day, Moyowasi, has since come out just four days later and won again – which gives that form a significant boost.

Always Fearless travelled well for much of that race and looked competitive in a decent field, shaping as though there is more to come. It wasn’t a run that screamed “next time winner” to everyone, but it certainly caught the eye if you were watching closely.

With that form now franked, I was expecting this one to be a bit shorter in the market, so seeing around 12/1 available looks more than fair.

This doesn’t look an overly strong race, and if building on that Kempton effort, there’s no reason why Always Fearless shouldn’t be right in the mix here.

THE VERDICT

This looks like a solid each-way angle at a price. The form is there, it’s already been boosted, and in a race like this we don’t need much improvement to get competitive.

Always Fearless (12/1) – Each Way

Confidence is there that we’ll be involved at the business end – and at these odds, it’s definitely worth a decent each-way play.
