Brighton Racecourse

The Course

Brighton racecourse, although not a full circuit course is run left handed. The track is 1 mile and 4 furlongs long. The shape of the course is like the letter C. It has several undulations, most of these are from the final bend leading into the home straight and continuing all the way to the finish line. Brighton is a tricky course and some consider it to be like a roller coaster. The home straight starts downhill and then it rises up to the finish. Many a horse has come unstuck at Brighton.
