MERIGO (20/1) is in great shape for the Scottish National. This has been his target and his two prep runs have seen connections delighted with his progress. At Doncaster last month he ran an eyecatching race and travelled and jumped well throughout. Relishes a stamina test and certainly gets that in this race. We were told about this horse some time ago and the message is a confident one. We also have to advise members to have an each way bet on GONE TO LUNCH (12/1) who was second in this race last year behind Hello Bud and must be respected. Always goes well at this time of year and could be a tough nut to crack. Each Way bets advised on both.
