Catterick Racecourse

The Course

Catterick racecourse has a track that is run left handed. It is a dual purpose course, hosting both flat and national hunt race meetings. The flat course is 1 mile and 1 furlong in length and also has some tight bends and undulations. The course used for jumps racing is slightly wider and longer. The course has 8 fences. The course also has an extension used for sprint flat races and has a ninth fence for some National Hunt races.

The Facilities

The Club Enclosure:This is the Members area of the course and you will have full access to all facilities such as the grandstand and parade ring and in addition will have exclusive use of the members enclosure and the club bar. There is also a members dining room. If wishing to eat here, please ensure you book in advance.

The Tattersalls Enclosure:Tickets for this enclosure are always popular and access to the grandstand, winners enclosure and paddock are permitted. There are several bars and food facilities in the Tatts.

The Course Enclosure:Located in the middle of the course. There are bars and catering facilities and also a childrens playground. Extra childrens entertainment is provided during summer racing.

How To Get To Catterick

By Road: 

Catterick racecourse is located about 5 miles south of Scotch Corner, just off the A1. It is situated on the outskirts of Catterick Village and is very well signposted from the A1. For those of you with Sat Nav, the course postcode is DL10 7PE

By Train:

The best train station to head for is Darlington. It is about 15 miles for the race course. The United Bus Station is nearby and there are frequent buses that run to the racecourse on race days.
